Waste oil being dumped in Longdenville
Date: October 14th 2018
Today (Saturday 13th October 2018) FFOS responded to calls from the local residents of Caparo Road, Longdenville.
For the past 2 months, the residents have been plagued with waste oil being dumped into their water courses. The residents have alleged that a nearby truck company has been dumping waste oil into a drain which flows into a nearby pond. This pond flows directly into the Caparo River.
For the past 6 weeks, the residents have complained to the EMA, the Regional Corporation and the County Medical Health Officer, but up till now, no-one has responded.
